DECIDING TO SEE A COUNSELOR IS THE FIRST STEP
We offer assistance and guidance in resolving personal, social, or psychological problems and difficulties. Professional counseling is available and we would like to build a relationship that will empowers individuals, families, and couples to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals. Counselors work with each person on strategies to overcome obstacles and personal challenges that you are facing.

We provide free, healthy, and nutritious food to individuals and families who may be facing food insecurity. In addition to food, we offer prayer, encouragement, and access to other critical resources, meeting both physical and spiritual needs with compassion and dignity.
2nd & 4th Friday's 12:00pm - 1:00pm
At New Zion Baptist Church, we believe the church should be a place of hope, help, and healing. Guided by Scripture and led by compassion, we are committed to walking alongside individuals and families during challenging seasons of life.
The Assistance Ministry exists to provide practical support, prayer, and guidance to those facing temporary hardship. Whether the need is food, utilities, housing-related challenges, or spiritual encouragement, our heart is to respond in love and wisdom—seeking not only to meet needs, but to strengthen lives.

How Assistance Works
All assistance requests are reviewed prayerfully and confidentially through our established process. Support is offered based on availability of resources, church guidelines, and the nature of the request. While we strive to help where possible, submitting a request does not guarantee assistance, and support may be partial or provided through alternative resources.
Our goal is not dependency, but restoration, stability, and connection—helping individuals move forward with dignity, encouragement, and faith.

- Assistance is intended for short-term or emergency needs
- Requests require completion of an Assistance Request Form
- Documentation may be requested for review
- All information must be truthful and accurate
- New Zion reserves the right to determine the type and amount of assistance provided
